WAYFINDING SIGNAGE FABRICATION

The City of Lynn will receive bids for the fabrication and delivery of various metal wayfinding signage to the Lynn Department of Public Works.

The City is seeking a Sign Contractor to make the signs based on the specifications and execute certain specific tasks as outlined in the scope of services.

Specifications may be obtained starting, Monday, January 27, 2025. Specifications are available by email request at [email protected] or by calling 781-586-6924. Specifications are available until the due date specified below.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: Bid#03-602 Wayfinding Signage Fabrication. All bids must be submitted to the City of Lynn, Purchasing Department, Room 205, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901 no later than 12:00pm, Tuesday, February 25, 2025 and will be publicly opened, forthwith. Emailed bids will not be accepted.

Invitation for Bids
Lead Paint Removal Services

The City of Lynn is soliciting bids from licensed lead abatement companies to provide lead paint removal services on an as needed basis for any school and municipal buildings located in Lynn Massachusetts. Work involves the removal of lead paint, whether scraping for new paint or for the demolition of lead paint containing material in preparation for construction and installation of equipment or fixtures such as wiring or piping.

Specifications may be obtained starting, Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Lynn City Hall, Purchasing Department, Room 205, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901. Specifications will be available via email/mail by contacting the purchasing department at 781-586-6893 or by email at: [email protected]. Specifications are available until the due date specified below.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked: “Bid #03-605 - Lead Paint Removal Services”. All bids must be submitted in form to the purchasing department at the above address no later than Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00AM. Bids will be publicly opened and read forthwith.

All General Bids must be accompanied by a copy of a Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) “Certificate of Eligibility” (DCAMM Form CQ-7) and a “Contractor Update Statement” (DCAMM Form CQ-3). The category of work for which the Bidder must be certified is: Deleading

Bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the total bid price in the form of certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Lynn.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 and to the minimum prevailing wage rates as required by M.G.L.c.149 §§ 26 – 27D.

The City of Lynn is soliciting bids from commercially licensed aquatic management companies for the seasonal pond treatment management of Flax, Floating Bridge, Goldfish and Sluice Pond. All ponds are located in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Management includes aquatic herbicide and algaecide treatments as needed, permitting, testing, inspection and year-end reporting of all four (4) ponds.

The City of Lynn will receive bids for Bartending Services for the Lynn Auditorium located at 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901. Services include ordering, set up and breakdown, staffing, cash management for requested shows at the Lynn Auditorium. Providers must carry $5,000,000 liquor and general liability policy and employ T.I.P.s certified bartenders. City of Lynn holds liquor license. Estimated 70 shows a year.

The City of Lynn is soliciting bids for the following:

APPARATUS BAY BUILDING

The project scope includes the construction of a 2,500 SF pre-engineered metal building to serve as a temporary apparatus bay, designed to accommodate two fire trucks. The scope of work entails the installation of structural steel beams and columns, secondary framing components such as girts and purlins, and the installation of wall and fabric roof panels. Additionally, the work includes the installation of insulation, gutters, rolling steel overhead doors, and the integration of heating and electrical systems for the facility.
The estimated cost of the work is $360,000.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.
General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement.

General Bids for this project will be accepted from eligible bidders until 2:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2025 and will be publicly opened, forthwith online.
Each general bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Lynn in the amount of five percent (5%) of value of the bid. Bid deposits will be dealt with as provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44B.
Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract.
Bidders’ selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition.
