Invitation for Bids
Street Light System and other Exterior Lighting Services
The City of Lynn invites sealed bids from qualified licensed contractors to maintain the City of Lynn street light system in an operable and safe condition. Services include repair, replace, installation and emergencies as needed. Services include lighting at city parking lots, parks and sport fields. The City of Lynn street light system includes approximately 7118 units. Approximate annual spending is $200,000.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30, § 39M and to the minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L.c.149 §§ 26 - 27H.
Specifications will be available for pick up starting Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Lynn City Hall, Purchasing Department, Room 206, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901. Specifications will be mailed or emailed upon request to the purchasing department at

Bids must be sealed and marked “Bid #03-646 Maintenance Street Light System and Exterior Lighting” and submitted in form to the address above. Bids will be received until 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 30, 2025 and publicly opened read and forthwith in Room 206, City Hall, Lynn, MA.
Bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the total bid price in the form of certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Lynn.
The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and make award as may appear in the best interest of the City. Purchasing Agent will prepare the notice of award and awarding of this contract.
