The Lynn Calm Team Community Advisory Committee (LCTCAC) will meet monthly (or at a frequency to be determined by the group) either in person or via Zoom. Meetings will be facilitated by the Community Advisory Committee Chair, after that person is elected. The CAC shall have no more than 13 members that will be appointed by the Mayor all at once. The members shall remain on the CAC for the life of the pilot which is approximately 6 months to a year.
Responsibilities
The Lynn Calm Team Community Advisory Committee (LCTCAC) will:
1. Provide consultation and feedback to the Mayor’s Office and Public Health Department on the Lynn Calm Team (LCT) messaging, public awareness, and community presence, ensuring that the LCT effectively represents the needs of the public and remains accountable to its mission, vision, and values.
The mission of the LCT is to provide culturally relevant and compassionate services to the community, centered on addressing quality of life matters, acute mental and behavioral health as well as community concerns.
2. Act as effective ambassadors and advocates for the LCT to the broader community.
3. Maintain a monthly agenda that includes:
Community Engagement: Identifying opportunities for the LCT to participate in events with the wider community to provide updates.
Trends: Sharing insights from the public about trends that the LCT should consider in its initiatives.
Messaging: Gathering feedback on key issues and root causes to highlight in the LCT’s communications with the public, including any social media and newsletters, and exploring opportunities for collaborative messaging.
4. CAC members will be invited to meet with the Mayor quarterly to provide feedback on the progress and data trends of the LCT in order to ensure its effectiveness in the pilot phase and for the program to reach its full potential4a. CAC members will be able to share their perspectives and ask questions about the LCT program development on behalf of stakeholders who are directly involved in day-to-day operations and long-term program management.
