Job Title: Plumbing/Gas Inspector (40 hrs)
Vacancies: One (1) Permanent Full-time

Work hours: 8AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday
Salary/Hourly
$87,576.55 per year
Duties and qualifications include but are not limited to:
• To review and approved plans and specification for the installation, repair, alteration or replacement of plumbing and gas fitting systems for compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances.
• To enforce the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Plumbing and Gas Codes and all City of Lynn ordinances authorized.
• To inspect and test all plumbing and gas installations in process of construction, alteration and replacement and repair for which permits have been issued for compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances.
• Investigates complaints of violations of codes or ordinances and take actions required to correct condition.
• Interprets and gives advice on and enforces plumbing and gas fitting laws and ordinances.
• Issues permits for plumbing and gas fitting and keeps records of all inspections.
• Must be duly licensed as a plumber and gas fitter by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
• Bilingual/bicultural candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
• When applicants are substantially similar in terms of qualifications, preference will be given to candidates who have resided in the City of Lynn for a continuous twelve-month period prior to the date of posting.
